CONTACT LENSES

Being independent our optometrists do not have a limited choice of lens designs and can fit a lens to give you the best vision and comfort possible, whether you use the lens all day or part-time.

You may need standard single vision lenses and toric lenses for astigmatism when young to multifocal lenses from the mid-40’s which still enable you to read clearly without the need for additional reading glasses.

The latest materials reduce dryness symptoms and maintain all day comfort, often with the benefit of ultraviolet blocking protection and now, blue blocking technology for those of us using screens on our phones, tablets and computers.

We use the best worldwide companies to source the very latest lens designs and can now offer young people the benefit of myopia control to help reduce the development of short-sight during the teenage years with it’s associated complications in later life.

When you come for a contact lens appointment we will ask how you would like to wear the lenses. e.g. for sport or work and check the health of your eyes.

GET TO GRIPS WITH CONTACT LENSES

The next stage is to arrange a contact lens teach when a trained member of staff will ensure that you have all the correct information to take and wear the lenses safely.

After a week we like to check your eyes when you have worn the lenses and give you the chance to discuss how you have progressed.

Lenses can be sent to your home at no extra cost and we can often give replacements if you are unfortunate to break any.
